Meet Samantha

Hi there! I'm Samantha Frith, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself to you. I graduated as an Osteopath from the College of Osteopaths in 2019, and since then, I've had the wonderful opportunity to work with people of all ages, from tiny babies to seniors, helping them with a wide range of musculoskeletal issues and injuries.

What I love most about my work is creating personalised treatment plans for each individual who walks through my door. Everyone is unique, and I believe that their treatment should be too. To make sure I can provide the best care possible, I draw on my background as a personal trainer to prescribe effective exercises for rehabilitation, and my qualification as a nutritionist to help with any dietary changes that might support a healthier lifestyle.

I'm also excited to share that I'm currently three years into the Biodynamics course of Osteopathy, which is deepening my knowledge and skills in the fascinating field of Cranial Osteopathy.

Above all, I feel incredibly privileged that people choose to come to me, trusting me with their health concerns and allowing me to help them on their journey to wellness. I understand that it's a big ask to share your pain and discomfort with someone, and I want you to know that I fully respect and honour that trust.

I'm here to listen, to support, and to work with you to find the best path forward. If you have any questions or would like to chat more, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

I've been carrying a shoulder with limited movement and some discomfort for well over a year. I went to see Sam and after 3 visits I'm well on the way to recovery. Thanks Sam, you're a legend!

What conditions can osteopathy treat?

Osteopathy can treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain, sports injuries, arthritis, headaches, migraines, and postural problems. It can also help with digestive issues, respiratory problems, and pregnancy-related discomfort.

Is osteopathic treatment painful?

Osteopathic treatment is generally gentle and should not cause significant pain. However, some patients may experience mild discomfort during or after treatment, particularly if they have acute pain or inflammation. Osteopaths work within your comfort level and adapt their techniques to minimize any discomfort.

How many osteopathic sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required varies depending on the individual and their specific condition. Some patients may experience significant relief after a single session, while others may require several treatments to achieve optimal results. Your osteopath will provide a personalized treatment plan based on your needs and progress.

Can I combine osteopathy with other medical treatments?

Yes, osteopathy can be safely combined with other medical treatments, such as medication, physical therapy, or surgery. Osteopaths often work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for their patients. However, it's essential to inform your osteopath about any other treatments you are receiving.

What should I wear to an osteopathic appointment?

It's best to wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. For example, if you are seeking treatment for a leg injury, wearing shorts or loose pants would be appropriate. Osteopaths may ask you to remove certain articles of clothing during the examination or treatment, but they will always ensure your comfort and privacy.
